The soft sunlight of the morning trickled into the den through the bracken and vines that hung from the cave's mouth. The tiny nose of the brown tabbey she-cat inside twitched lightly. Her large eyes snapped open and in an instaint she was up on all four paws, looking into the darkness in one half of the cave. Her tiny chest was heaving as if she had been running a great distance.
Slowly, her fur started to lay flat and her breathing became even. She glanced around the den and realized it was empty. With a huge sigh, she let her tail down and padded to the back 'storage' area of the cave.
She shuffled through some of the leaves, counting and sorting the piles. A large wind had blown in the night before and she had been to tired to re-organize the herbs. With dread, she realized that some leaves must have blown away because she was missing a lot.
She pushed the piles back into their safe nitches and padded into the center of camp, ready to leave to collect more herbs.

IC:
Fawnstar yawned and stretched as she opened her eyes. Her cave was barely lit but she knew that the sun was starting to rise which meant she would soon have to start her usual daily routines. Getting to her paws the she-cat stretched once again and sat down, curling her tail around her paws. "Hm, should I sleep a little longer?" She asked herself, still feeling tired. But as she heard the sound of other cats stirring, she decided best not to. "I may be old, but I'm not going to let it be known." She told herself, getting to her paws once more and padding from her den and into the awaiting sunlight.
Blinking her eyes to adjust them to the light quicker, Fawnstar looked around at the still somewhat sleepy Clan. Shaking her fur to fluff it out, she padded toward the fresh-kill pile. Bare. She grumbled inside, as she sat down while gazing at it. One mouse and one shrew were all there was. Sighing, she looked around and quickly bounded up to a senior warrior. Giving him directions to take out a hunting patrol, she purred as she watched him go, knowing her Clan would be fed once again. With it being so close to Leaf-fall she knew the prey would be out a lot more than before.
Looking around, Fawnstar's deep green gaze landed on Boneclaw as the small Medicine Cat made her way from her den. Getting up the energy to pad over to the smaller cat, she purred softly at the other she-cat's size. Being next to the Medicine Cat made Fawnstar feel like she was much taller than she really was. Nudging the cat from behind, she began to walk beside her. "Going out to get herbs?" Not waiting for a response, Fawnstar spat out the next question. "Want me to go with you? I'm in need of a stretch and the weather seems nice out, plus I'll catch some prey for the Clan. What do you say?" She asked, not taking her gaze from the other cats face.

**Are regular members not aloud to start threads?** The tiny she kit hadn't really noticed the elder cat approach her. When she was in camp, Boneclaw's defences where at low. It wasn't until she felt the cold wetness of a nose press against her rear fur that she realized there was someone near. With a yowel fromt he cold, she turned on her leader.
Appologizing for her near anger, the smaller cat spoke. "Oh! Fawnstar, I'm so sorry I didn't see you there."
"Going out to get herbs?"
Boneclaw nodded quickly. "Yes. That storm from last night stole much of my store and I need to restock before leaf-bare hits. I know it may be far away but I still want to be safe."
"Want me to go with you? I'm in need of a stretch and the weather seems nice out, plus I'll catch some prey for the Clan. What do you say?"
Boneclaw smiled warmly at the older cat. Fawnstar had always been so kind to her and desite there age difference, Fawnstar respected Boneclaw, which was nice. Many cats where doubtful about her ability to provide for the Clan but Fawnstar always seemed to have little doubt. Boneclaw replied, "I would love that, Fawnstar. Fromt he looks of the pile, we could use more fresh-kill and I wouldn't mind an escort in the forest."
